I am going to move to my new Kindergarten School and I found out that my new school is using this approach in which I have no idea at all. I am really in love for your videos and the explanations!! I am from Brazil and I teach english for very young kids using the Reggio Aproach. It is amazing. I loved to find this school and theses videos. I am sure that i follow a lot the ideas. Thanks a lot.

I love how clear and entertaining this is. I was looking for a film to help explain to my clients with developmental disabilities the concept of " fun foods" and moderation. I like this clip and at the same time I can't help but notice that the " all the time foods" pile only includes two food groups ( fruit and veg). In contrast the "sometimes Foods" is composed of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It would be helpful to compare sometimes and all the times foods that have similar macros. For example: bake potato with a pat of butter versus potato chips. The macro value might be similar but one is highly salted/ processed while the other is whole. One also has more fiber and water, giving more volume for the same calories.. Another final thought is that children can take healthy eating lessons and go a little overboard if they're predisposed to anxiety or jave body image concerns. That's why it's important for children to understand that sweets and chips are "sometimes foods" , not " bad foods". By neutralizing the moral implications of eating a food these we can prevent shame around treats and prevent future binge eating.
